MEC – June Construction Update

We “turned up the light” at the Township Hall last week, and now you can get a taste of what’s to come with high-speed fiber internet.

Township official Gary Munce said, “The Lyndon Broadband Implementation Committee believes the activation of reliable, high-speed fiber internet and phone service at the Lyndon Township hall will bring new and exciting opportunities; officials, staff, commissions, residents and visitors will all see benefits. For example, new digital signage will be installed to better inform residents and visitors of upcoming events and information, and internet service will available soon to the new Border to Border trail-head adjacent to the town hall.”

We appreciate everyone who stopped by at our June 13 open house. About 140 people attended one of our Cutting the Cord education sessions, learning how to use fiber internet with streaming services to access the entertainment content you want and need. Based on the popularity of this session, we’ll likely bring it back this fall.

Construction efforts continue at full speed, and we expect to light up our first homes in the next couple of weeks. It’s just a matter of time before everyone in Lyndon Township is streaming at the speed of light.

MEC – May Construction Update

There’s light at the end of the tunnel, literally, as we prepare to bring fiber internet to life at Lyndon Township Hall.

In this week’s construction update, Township officials announced that the cabinet and vault were installed last week, and they anticipate that service will be active for next week’s open house.

Your MEC Internet Team will be on site on May 22, and we invite you to stop by any time between 3-6 p.m. to ask questions and actually test drive the service that’s coming your way soon. At 6 p.m. we’ll host an informational session: Tips, Tricks and Helpful Hints After Your Service Is Installed.

If you can’t join us this month, please stop by on June 13 between 3-7 p.m. We’re bringing the popular Cutting the Cord presentation every hour beginning at 3, teaching you how to cut the cord from traditional television providers and use your new fiber internet with streaming services to access the content that you want and need.

More than 800 of your friends and neighbors across Lyndon Township are signed up for fiber internet. We look forward to serving you soon!
